Borderless Window resetting resolution everytime I launch.
So whenever I launch the game it launches it in borderless windowed 1280x960 when my desktop resolution is 1280x1024. So every time I launch the game I have to go to options, hit fullscreen/windowed, change the resolution back to 1080x1024 and then switch it back to borderless windowed mode. It's not really that big of a bug, just a minor inconvenience, I tried looking for a .ini or launch options in the game directory to set it myself but I didn't find much. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

The configuration file is located in a folder 'path of Elixe' somewhere below the home path of your pc account, not in the game folder. Cant check here if adjusting the file may help you, just no access to an installed game.

Found the config file... but it says the dimensions are what I want them to be but if I go to options in game it says 1280x960.
Here's a picture of my problem.
Spoiler
Edit - Just realized that in that picture, it set the dimensions back to 1280x960 but before I reopened the game, it said 1280x1024. Anyway, it appears to set it to that res no matter what I do Last edited by lawlfactory#5573 on Jul 16, 2012, 3:04:56 PM

I've passed this on to be looked into! This should have been fixed, so we'll test it out.

I have a slight variation of this problem:
I'm running dual monitor setup with different resolutions. I'm using the games borderless window feature. Main resolution is 1280x1024 secondary is 1024x768 If I execute the game from my main screen, the game starts in the resolution it was last configured to; usually 1280x1024. If I execute the game from my secondary screen, the game first flashes in a sort-of-between-monitors location, then immediately "corrects" itself to the main monitor, but with the resolution 1280x960. This doesnt happen if the game is patching, since the patch-window pops up and shifts focus to the main monitor first. I've verified the resolution options in the configuration ini-file to be correct (1280x1024) before launch, but is set to 1280x960 after the game is launched from the secondary monitor. It's a really niche problem that the vast majority of the player base will never encounter, but I thought it was worth mentioning since it's probably easy to fix. If you are using Windows Xp expect bugs in dual monitor ( they will never get fixed )
------- STEP1 You can delete your POE config here C:\Users\yourwindowsusername\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile\ "production_Config" Delete this and start the game Go to options take you settings apply > save > exit. -------- Start the game as you did before from the same location on the same monitor it should now have saved the changes. ----------- DO NOT PLUG ANY MONITOR CABLE IN/OUT OR CHANGE WINDOWS DISPLAY SETTINGS! JUST DONT! (you montiors got numbers Monitor1 Monitor2 if you plug in out cables it can be that your monitor 1 is now 2 and vise versa.) ----------- !!!DO STEP 1 FIRST!!! You can try following make a shortcut of the POE.exe in your install folder right click on shortcut > proberties > TAB shortcut> you will se a TARGET line "B:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Path of Exile\PathOfExileSteam.exe" at the end of the line try to add this --adapter(number) "B:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Path of Exile\PathOfExileSteam.exe" --adapter0 --adapter0 (means it passes adapter 0 and should display the game on MONITOR 1) --adapter1 (means passing adapter 1 and should display the game on MONITOR 2) You can try this im not sure if these commands are working but if they do You can Create 2 shortucts one for MONITOR 1 ! and 1 for MONITOR 2 ! THIS ONLY WILL WORK IF YOUR DISPLAYS HAVE THE SAME RESOLUTION! Edit 1: you have to try it i cannot say if its working cause windows tend to remeber on wich monitor the application was last running and it will force it to this monitor again. (maybe your graphics driver let you choose on wich monitor the application should be shown) Last edited by Napster#5523 on Jul 14, 2015, 1:47:13 AM
