Essence of infinity (attribute) only applies strength to belts.

Just used 14 Essence of infinity (attribute) on 14 normal belts of various type. Every single one rolled strength. 14/14
Maybe there is a mechanic im not understanding? some kind of weighted outcome im not aware of? Otherwise this looks very much like a bug. Last bumped on Apr 28, 2025, 12:11:33 AM

Wow. 1000+ hours and I learned that today. Still seems odd. Like, why? Is there some kind of historic or lore reason?

I can only guess but Strength=Belt originates from old school D&D. OG had "Belt of Giant's Strength". Also things like Dex=Boots/Gloves and Int=Helm/Glasses for the same reason.
