Locked Out of My Character After Failing 3rd Ascension

I can no longer log into my Dawn of the Hunt character "DukeSmith" level 74 Smith of Kitava.

I attempted my 3rd ascension in the trail of sekhemas and died to the last boss. After this I used my town portal to leave the area.

While loading into "The Ardura Caravan" map my game crashes consistently with the message
"Attempted to resume current action with an invalid skill:1073741824

Metadata/Monster/EtchedBeetles/SmallEtchedBeetleArmoured@32"


Currently this crash is stopping me from accessing this character entirely. Since I'm always loading into Ardura Caravan when attempting to log in.

I attempted to verify game files through Steam but that hasn't resolved the issue.

Not sure if it will be relevant in this situation. The 3rd Sekhemas boss killed me but I had a tamed beast with me who was able to kill her after I went down.

p.s. if you could just grant me my 3rd ascension points while you're in there that would be sweet ;)

Update: Made a second character to play while this gets resolved. Once I made it to Ardura Caravan on that second character I got the same message, same crash, same behavior, and a second locked character.

This bug is stopping me from playing the game almost entirely now

Update Two:

I tried switching from my normal server [Texas(US)] to [Milan(EU)] and I was able to load the Ardura Caravan and access my characters again.

My current suspicion is someone in on that server in that instance of the Ardura Caravan with a tamed beast or spectre that's just bugged out and it was crashing my game repeatedly.

I was also having this problem on two different characters one that naturally made it to act two which was a new character and a second character as a test to see if it was happening on more than just one character and selecting the Milan(EU) server seems to have bypassed whatever bug that is. I'm on Xbox so we don't get any sort of error message. It just sends us back to the home screen. Hopefully they do something to fix this. I'm just glad I was able to rescue my tier 7 maps character that I stupidly tried this with.
