Shattered Shield interaction with EB

I'm running a Eldritch Battery character, thus all my Energy Shield is converted to mana. So when I saw the Shattered Shield affliction in figured, that it would be a freebee since I already have no ES. But it took a third of my mana away.

It is very clearly stated in the description of conversion that modifiers are applied after conversion not before. Thus either this is an unintended effect of Shattered Shield or it needs to be communicated in the description that this applies before conversion unlike any other modifier in the game.

While it's not in the tooltip for Conversion yet, this is a consequence of a change made in the 0.2.0 patch.

Setting a stat to a specific value (such as Chaos Inoculation setting your life to 1 or Blood Magic setting your mana to 0) now occurs before conversion is applied to that stat, rather than being ignored by conversion.
