Please Add Settings for Reducing CPU usage
GGG
I think a lot of players, especially on low or mid-range budgets, would benefit from graphical options that could optimize and reduce CPU load. I am not fluent in the factors which cause this problem but I understand the CPU handles generation of physics and possibly shadows, maybe particles. So why can we not simply turn things like shadows completely off, or make them static, maybe don't animate monster deaths, or something? I understand this would greatly reduce visual quality and coherency so maybe that's why it's not available, but in the current state some areas of the game are unplayable. I purchased a laptop with the recommended specs for your game and I don't think dumping to 30-40 FPS in combat should be happening at the recommended specifications. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 with Max-Q Design if anyone has any ideas that helped them please feel free to contribute, I've tried a lot such as : Minimum Processor state 100 Process Lasso with many different settings I have nothing else running with the game and removed most bloat, other than stock anti-virus I changed channel count to low for sound settings I have undervolted my laptop and replaced the thermal paste with PTM7950, though thermal throttling was never much of an issue. turned off hyperthreading, the game has access to all 6 cores and runs around 4500MHZ clock speed generally. - - - - - I can hold 60FPS often but combat can drop that to 40 and this is in the campaign. I have been in some maps that were not playable especially on hardcore. Last edited by rhorains#6760 on Apr 18, 2025, 9:53:34 AM Last bumped on Apr 18, 2025, 9:59:39 AM

Game is not optimized.
You need 5.000$ PC to play without issues. I have PC 3x better than recommended settings , I can play any game on max , non 4k but i cant play PoE2 not even on lowest settings. Especially maps with delirium+breach+ritual . It stutters and its blurry you cant even move. Worst thing is that i thought its me issue. Added additional cooler , new SSD , reinstalled windows . Literally wasted 300$ . Last Epoch out anyway and later this year Titan Quest 2 is coming out. I ain't got time for this. Last edited by Werdx_1#3669 on Apr 17, 2025, 10:47:29 PM

This issue has been ongoing for several months and there will be no response
GGG will not see such suggestions because they do not have the ability to do so 0.1 version fps is significantly higher than 0.2 version They only throw garbage inside and won't clean it up |

" I bet the dynamic shadows we have in the game have a big impact on performance, forcing this setting is a terrible decision for ppl in limited systems like the steam deck Physics and animations on enemies are not well optimized like you said, you can feel that especially in breaches I'm on the recommended settings for the game and still get fps drops in some maps |
