Map device and large portal cosmetics

I recently got a cosmetic via mystery box for portals and while it looks cool, it is a PAIN IN THE youknowwhat to use the map device. I keep going back into a completed map. About 10 times today.
Until there's more area around the map device, my portal cosmetics will be unusable :(
