guide have fun in 0.2.0: the best way to play is Not to play
0.2.0 is a sick season without doubt
Data shows from Poe Ninja , over 48% players use same class ,and over 49% players use Lightning Spear. I think it's more even to 65%-70% cause China players base is huge and they dont use Ninja much (they use 暗黑核 and others) and I saw they are over 80% Amazon. ------------ I mean , you just pick a skill , and use it as the introduction tell you how to use. You will find out : No, it doesn't work. The Wall skills can't block (mobs rush and jump from every angle and have twice vision we have) The ammo skills cna't kill (they need 2-3 steps and mechanic for 1 group 1 direction) The support skills can't support GGG just think too complicated , and made the skills like a Car put on with wings , jet , high tech etc even has a NBA signed ball. But just can't start the engine and go. Last edited by SaaskiSeeTher#4146 on Apr 13, 2025, 3:23:40 PM Last bumped on Apr 14, 2025, 7:08:07 AM

I think their decision to wait months before they nerf things like HoI or LS is really dumb. Things like this need to be nipped in the bud. Tear the bandaid off quickly. People are going to complain either way.

I really see only 2-3 builds viable atm....
This might goes all the league if ggg don't buff somethings... Let's wait and see... might be a boring league till next one |

" Your perception of 'viable' is skewed. If you can't get to endgame, or even t15 maps, at a reasonable pace with some relatively mediocre build, then something's wrong on your end. Last edited by nonoffensivename1#2572 on Apr 13, 2025, 5:18:57 PM

" Nah man its never their fault. It's always ggg's fault for not balancing the game for them. Notice a week ago, "nothing was viable because everything was nerfed", and now that a few stronger builds are leading, its "only 2-3 builds are viable". Give it another week or 2, and it will be "why isn't xx specific skill buffed because everything else is fine". Same pattern every time. They get their entire opinion off streamers, who half the time seem to be bad at the game anyway |

Forum game is better than actual game.

" Viable as in, not a gigantic waste of time in a game where you are functionally competing against other people for purchasing power in order to access gear. if you're playing ssf or not trading, it's viable to play with a pinky finger and your nose. When comparative performance matters, the difference between top and bottom is insane in poe2. |

" Great. Once everyone has already farmed their gear and currency with current top builds and after another couple of rounds of changes, once 75% of players have stopped playing, someone will discover a niche interaction that makes another 15 builds "viable", ostensibly all different builds but using the same broken interaction to function well beyond their means on paper. Great! |

It's pretty obvious from the patch notes that GGG was incentivising players to test the new stuff, not the old. That doesn't necessarily make the old bad, but the new will be more powerful overall. Next league will introduce nerfs to 0.2 content and bring a whole slew of new goodies into the game. We are Beta testing the game after all.
In any case poe.ninja (or poe2.ninja) is a bad representation of the actual player base. It's what the top players are doing with skill, time, and budget beyond most players' experiences. |

" My brother in Christ the people you're talking about play the game as a job. If your idea of a "gigantic waste of time" is any build that doesn't allow me to be as efficient as someone who is playing the game to buy food and shelter then I don't know what to say -- that's not my definition. I'm not trying to chase these people and am more than happy to accept the reality that PoE will have a 0.01% who are going to be speed-clearing and spam-mapping and the game isn't less fun for me because maybe I'm a little bit slower than them. |
