Bug Report – Eternal Youth Passive Interaction with Bleed Effects
Hello everyone!
Summary: The Eternal Youth passive skill currently inverts Life and Energy Shield mechanics, which creates an unintended and potentially game-breaking interaction with Bleed effects. Description: When the Eternal Youth passive is allocated, players regenerate Energy Shield instead of Life. However, Bleed effects in the current implementation still deal damage directly to Life and completely ignore Energy Shield. This creates a situation where players using Eternal Youth have no means of mitigating or recovering from Bleed effects: - Flasks only recover Energy Shield, not Life. - Bleed bypasses Energy Shield entirely. As a result, players have no functional defense against Bleed while using this passive, which seems to contradict the intended survivability tradeoff that Eternal Youth provides. Suggested Solution: To ensure gameplay balance and fairness, I propose that when Eternal Youth is active, Bleed effects should interact with Energy Shield first, rather than bypassing it entirely. This would make the passive a viable option without introducing a fatal vulnerability that cannot be countered with any current mechanics. Steps to Reproduce: - Allocate the Eternal Youth passive. - Receive a Bleed effect from an enemy. - Observe that the Bleed directly damages Life, and you have no way to mitigate or recover from it. Expected Behavior: With Eternal Youth, Bleed should interact with Energy Shield before damaging Life, or there should be a compensating mechanic to allow for mitigation or healing of Bleed damage. Thanks for your attention and for all the hard work on PoE2! Best Regards! Last bumped on Apr 28, 2025, 12:22:09 AM
