Impressed but still skeptical

Love that after Zizaran's interview there have been rapid fixes to the game. Some being complete 180 degree pivots from the original design intent of the game. I think thats why im skeptical. Not only are the changes very very reactionary, but they are seemingly going against many things that the game was marketed to be. Im fine with this especially because the game needs it. I love the changes to monster speed, rares on the minimap in waystones, pushiness. But, how did we get to this point. So many of those changes could be spotted simply by playing the game.

I have no faith in the game releasing this year. And I also little faith in being able to reliably develop both games simultaneously hoping that both will thrive. I hope to be proven wrong, but its on GGG to do so. I believe in their capability, but they need to LOCK TF IN. Balance stuff like lightning spear that is creating the exact same problem as season 1, and even a bigger problem I think.

Maybe a couple people would incredibly benefit from ACTUALLY leveling a character all the way to arbitor/xesht/olroth/king of the mists tier IV. Actually playing it so you know how players feel the entire way thru progression. It does require a ass ton of time though, so I can see why this is not feasible.
