Smith of Kitava and thorns

Heya!

It's been a blast seeing thorns reach a playable level in this iteration of the game. While you do need both helm and boots along with tier 3 support gems to make it playable, it is fun once you do so. I know you can use the other two ascendacies for thorns, but considering half the flavour of Smith of Kitava is using white armour and armour is literally one of the only 3 gear slots where you get thorns (aside of uniques, which don't have big thorns numbers on them though) it would be really nice to get a thorns option on the of the ascendacy slots for using white armour. It feels the whole point of Smith of Kitava is to give you flexibility on your choices depending on your needs and that is lacking in the case of thorns because you would be losing 1/3 of your damage by making that choice.
