holy cow, that patch is awesome. Good job GGG.
While I'm interested by the changes, without a real fix to Lightning Thorns that makes me not two-shot myself at 3500 hp and capped lightning res with a single target Frenzy, there's no reason for me to play maps. I might farm Piety for a day then quit again until next patch...

Seems like they forgot about this. Anyway, is too much generic statement, so it can mean the drop from special chests, piety, etc. Or just they delayed to the next patches, who knows. Maybe we had too much faith on this. Would be great if Chris clarify this point.

The rest of patch notes seems nice. Well, Lucky/Unlucky need some clarification too, but it seems another RNG layer above another RNG layer above... well, this game is RNG, who cares about another layer.

The gems balances feels good too, 1% leech at low levels was unusable. The 3% reduced effect duration on lightning wrap seems like we will teleport faster subtracting that percentage after the movement speed calculation right? Puncture improvements feels great but DOT problems with IIR/IIQ make this skill less appealing, at least for me.

Someone said on this thread that quality of some gems should be improved, and I'm agree. Lightning Strike or Freezing Pulse gems have really powerful quality and high impact on builds around them. Others just have increased damage, attack speed, increased AOE, ..., that is fine. But others are almost useless (Auras and Ice Spear, I'm looking at you).

Anyway, overall is a great patch even if don't solve any big problems the game have ;).

I like the patch but there is some things i dont understand yet:

-why buff deep thoughs when its fine instead of mana recovery from flasks? That nodes are useless imo. Anyways im happy with the buff

- is blood rage even going to be fixed? It seems like a joke
So about that lucky attribute...if it's working as I imagine, that effectively gives 50% more crit chance on my 50% crit chance char since I get 2 rolls instead of one 1-0,5x0,5=75% ?? Plus it also double rolls my accuracy, which at 80% effectively becomes 1-0,2x0,2=96% o.O? Double whammy. Oh, and if you couple that with chance to shock (which also gets increased with lucky since it's RNG...herp).

What about evasion? Lucky works on that too? If yes, then it's the same as crit chance increase math and how does it tie in with the nonrandom evasion thing you have going there GGG?

And then there's the drops...

Anyway, on first glance it seems quite a powerful (OP) attribute to have, unless I'm misunderstanding it or if it doesn't work on some stuff.

Not sure how it will be on the item though...might be together with unlucky in some way(like lucky in attacks but unlucky in evasion or something). It would be crazy though, since it would double magic find.

I think they could have simply buffed puncture by making it a support gem that only works with certain weapons. Does puncture work with melee splash BTW?
