The game is in Early Access (Beta test) and is not a finished release. The game you see now will undergo change after change before it is released.

Reason why EU server went down was bcuz of a Russian made them crash while chasing Ziz around and crashing the server he were on.

I encountered a similar issue changing gates from London to Amsterdam solved the problem for me. I lost approximately 25 maps over the course of 2-3 days, but since switching from London, I haven't experienced any issues. I recommend giving it a try.
