Not enough uncut spirit gems

I’m in act 3 and have only the 1 spirit gem from the King of the Mist.
I can’t change my lvl1 buff, I can’t use a lvl2 buff, this feels bad… Last bumped on Apr 9, 2025, 8:01:55 AM

You get a guaranteed spirit gem in act 2. Open the Golden Tomb.
The darn thing should be level 8, but alas, it’s level 7 no matter what you do. |

I have some feedback on this as well. It is a problem when you select the wrong spirit skill, I believe level 1 spirit gems could somehow have a respec, because you know, players make mistake and sometimes it's not worth losing that player to a level 1 spirit gem bad choice or mistake.
Maybe just do a coin cost to respec skills into gems? |

Some ideas for addressing this:
1. Straight up ability to buy them 2. Ability to merge 3 uncut skill gems into a spirit (or support) gem 3. Ability to repeat the seeded drops (I’m actually not 100% sure if this is currently the case, I believe it’s not) |

There's a lack of uncut gems in general. At least in poe1 there's a vendor you can buy gems at

Gems need to be made purchasable or not rare. This is a "friction is good" issue that nobody enjoys and actively degrades the experience of making a mistake when all the builds are garbage and we just want to experiment.
Gambling addiction means that I win more than you do.

The lack of gems is primarily a new league problem. Standard has them running out the ears. My gem tab is completely full.
The exception is Level 8 spirit gems, which last I checked were still 300ex in Standard. That problem really does need to be fixed. |

Been waiting for another Spirit gem drop, but its dry as a desert. The drops are so LOW
