Loading Screen Gears Get Stuck

After I downloaded and played Path of Exile 2, every time I try playing Path of Exile 1, the gears on the loading screen get stuck and I have to close out the game. The game worked perfectly before downloading Path of Exile 2. How can i fix this?

I had this problem and the game was pretty much unplayable. I read in a forum in here somewhere to switch from the directx 11 to directx 12 in the display options. This fully fixed my issue and every loading screen I go through smoothly now. You can do that before you log in and choose your character.

Another trick if that doesn't work is to change your graphics driver.
