Cannot defer tribute item in the ritual.

I set up my idol to "100% reduced tribute cost when deferring items," so I was able to defer items for free without any issues until the afternoon.

However, when I tried to play again in the evening, I suddenly couldn't defer items at all. When I click "Defer" and select an item, it just cancels automatically.

I don't have any items currently deferred.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

There are no unique idols equipped at all.
