My opinion on the trading situation in PoE2.
I think a proper marketplace should be added to PoE2. I understand that the developers might want players to get to know each other and possibly play together through trading, but let's be honest—that happens less often than anything else.
And if you consider that in 99% of cases (with fixed prices and no actual bargaining), people just write "t4t" at most—if at all—I simply trade and go my own way. I assume almost everyone else who trades does the same. Furthermore, trading on consoles is an absolute nightmare. A marketplace in PoE2 would not only make a huge difference compared to PoE1, setting it apart, but also make things much easier for console players. They wouldn’t have to go through the unnecessary hassle of checking an item’s potential value manually. Instead, they could simply place it in a trade stash, put it up for sale, and see the lowest offer for that item. There could even be a button that takes players directly to the marketplace for that item, showing how much it typically sells for. This way, players could either list it for a competitive price or sell it instantly without having to memorize stats, take screenshots, or even use their smartphones just to look things up. Trading in this game is simply the biggest nightmare. Which is the only reason why I would never want to play this game again... And yet, dear people, as someone with a private life, you **have** to trade at some point if you're unlucky with loot, and no amount of sugarcoating can change that. So, that was my opinion on trading—have a great day! Last bumped on Mar 1, 2025, 8:08:23 AM
