Remove Towers Entirely, Redo Entire Endgame
Title says it all. Towers were a mistake. Don't let pride get in the way of progress. The entire endgame feels like it was an afterthought. No change made for PoE2 is an improvement. It is uniformly worse. From most maps lacking bosses to the maps themselves feeling so random and unrewarding, there's little reason to continue playing.
My suggestion is to just reuse PoE1's, because any resources used fixing the mess it is right now is a waste of time and effort better spent elsewhere. There's limited workload that can be done at a time and limited manpower. Get the actual content into the game, make the game EXIST, and then worry about new endgame content. Tbh i dont have an issue with towers.
They feel fine to me. Some are better than others, but not a big deal for me. |

I think it would be a good idea to simply add a tower "section" to a ragular map where you can ascend after defeating a boss.

" We'll see how you feel when you have to backtrack to the beginning of the tower to kill the 1 rare remaining. |

" Its a tower i dont have to backtrack. The map is finished upon activating it. |

" You do understand the upcoming changes right? Towers will carry all map mechanics, including killing all rares. Ton of the maps have a ton of different directions to head in. Last edited by Vzwson#6959 on Feb 28, 2025, 4:13:10 PM

" Ah well yes, but then tower just function as a normal map. With just a different layout. And the Activation at the end. Yes backtracking is an issue, but a tower would not have more backtracking that a normal map. I assume it would be even less cause its less likely that you miss a rare on tower maps.
