endgame
Hey Exiles,
I wanted to share some thoughts and concerns about the current state of Atlas maps in Path of Exile 2. While I appreciate the effort and creativity that goes into developing these maps, I can't help but feel that they are becoming monotonous and very similar. Here are a few points that highlight my frustrations: Monotony in Maps: The variety in Atlas maps seems lacking. Many maps feel repetitive, making the experience less engaging and exciting. There's a need for more unique environments and encounters to keep players invested. Death Penalty: One of the most frustrating aspects is the inability to re-enter maps after dying. This adds a lot of unnecessary depression and frustration to the game. In PoE1, we had the chance to come back up to five times, which was a much fairer system. Why can't we have that option in PoE2? Atlas map locks. Why, if I fail a map such as Citadels, I retry it It's not enough that I spent 200 hours and 300 maps just to find it; I even repeat it if I fail. lol Endgame Copy-Paste: The endgame content feels like a rehash of the first three acts. The same maps, same mobs, just with increased difficulty. Why not introduce something new and different, beyond the typical PvE experience? Trials Frustration: The current trial system is also quite punishing. I have four pages of rooms to complete, and if I die, I lose everything. It's disheartening to put in so much effort and lose it all due to a single mistake. Giving players a chance to return at least once would make the experience more balanced and enjoyable. Item Drops and Trading: Another issue is the difficulty in acquiring items for your class without relying heavily on trading. Why not take a page from Diablo's book? They removed the auction house to keep players engaged with the gameplay rather than the market. Why is PoE2 doing the opposite? It's worth looking at competitors' experiences and learning from them. I believe these changes could significantly improve the overall gameplay experience and make Path of Exile 2 more enjoyable for everyone. What are your thoughts? Thanks for reading!
