Opposition to 2.0 Tower Changes
Just making this post because I really don't agree with GGG's plan to fix towers in the upcoming patch. I don't have a lot of good suggestions for a fix, but I have seen other threads and videos offering options that would be much better, like inverting towers, or adjusting the tower maps themselves.
If GGG moves forward with its plan to make towers operate like maps, i.e. killing all of the rare monsters, and having map content on them, these maps will have a huge back tracking problem. The back tracking issue is really frustrating, walking back through a map while fighting nothing is just not fun. And I feel like most of the tower maps would exacerbate this problem tremendously. Since towers are integral to setting up your atlas maps in the area, this would turn what is a relatively small chore, into a Big one. Secondly, most of us prefer to run breach content(not all of us, but I feel like it is fair to say most). The narrow pathways, are really restrictive of this content. Finally, I think having bosses would be cool on towers, but only if they gate keep the end of the map, backtracking to find the boss after smacking the tablet would just cause issues with backtracking that I mentioned previously. Don't forget that if you have a tablet of some sorts like one that puts breach on 5 nodes in the area of influence randomly they can now land on towers too. Meaning your chance of it landing on a desirable node is even slimmer. They really thought this through.

I imagine they are going to expand the layout of tower maps to accomodate boss and other mechanics.
