Passive tree attribute node idea
Currently in PoE 2, the "highway" attribute nodes allow you to select between Strength/Dexterity/Intelligence as opposed to them being predefined in PoE 1.
My suggestion is make these nodes give points into an "all attributes" pool. Then, you can freely assign attributes in the character screen. It can work similarly to Elden Ring's flask charges between HP and FP. Can also probably use the same tech that only allowed you to change them in "town" like Pantheons from PoE 1. Or keep it with a gold cost to "minus" something and only available at a respec vendor, like it is currently too. The main benefit I see I can just click on a passive tree node instead of clicking and then having to think or check on the fly if I need Str/Dex/Int next. Going between PoE 1 and PoE 2 this was something that felt worse in PoE 2 to me. Quick image with the plus and minus signs. Obviously would need more wording and probably balance of the fields on the character screen but this should convey the idea. ![]() Last bumped on Feb 26, 2025, 10:23:20 AM
