character deleted? or missing??

I went to log in last night and only had my alts. my main character (wghich i had played hours earlier) was missing. is this possibly linked to the upcoming 2.0. Character reset or something? I never seen that in POE1 i dont believe. Anyway, i'm not in hardcore mode. I don't know how, or why, i would have deleted the character. Then try and play her again on the same day. I had just started mapping for the first time. This was a my level ~79 ranger. Name is Hevenly.
