Enhance and diversify Dodge please.

Would anyone else like the ability to modify Dodge, perhaps allowing it to take gems? Right now, the roll is cool, but conceptually, it doesn't make much sense.

What if we could change it (while keeping the same speed and distance) to different movement types, such as:

* A dash
* A jump
* A spin
* A flip (side, back, or front)


It would also be interesting to chain these moves together—for example, instead of rolling over fire, you could jump over it. Instead of rolling to evade an attack, you could dash past it.

Additionally, enhancing the dash with gems could be a fun mechanic—allowing for increased speed, distance, or other effects.

Yeah i agree, dodge-roll looks silly to me, and i've been hoping for at least a different animation. You have good suggestions.

I don't like how it also seems to be used as an excuse for adding one-shot mechanics or armour that doesn't work on big phys hits, but that's another topic

-One suggestion was themed anims to the weapon / character you're using.

-I like your idea for jumping over things, as i constantly want other aerial moves to preform like the mace leap skill gem and actually travel over gaps + enemies + terrain.

-Having it as an actual ability appearing in your skills so you can augment them with support gems is also a great idea.
