Urgent Call to Address Rampant Cheating and Automation in Poe – The Game's Future is at Stake

Dear Poe Development Team,

I am writing this with a heavy heart and a sense of urgency. On January 26th, I submitted two detailed reports via email highlighting the pervasive use of third-party hacks, cheats, and automation scripts in Poe. Unfortunately, the issue has only escalated since then, and the game’s ecosystem is now teetering on the brink of collapse. This is not a complaint—it’s a plea to save a game many of us once loved.

**The Devastating Impact of Cheats and Scripts**
1. **Erosion of Competitive Integrity**:
Automated scripts allow players to farm resources, complete objectives, or dominate PvP modes without human input. This invalidates the effort of legitimate players, turning leaderboards into a farce and stripping achievements of their meaning.

2. **Economic Imbalance**:
Cheaters flood the market with ill-gotten resources, crashing in-game economies and devaluing items earned through legitimate gameplay. This undermines the reward loop that keeps players engaged long-term.

3. **Player Exodus**:
New and casual players face impossible barriers when matched against script-users, leading to frustration and abandonment. Veteran players, disillusioned by the lack of consequences for cheaters, are leaving too. The community is fracturing.

4. **Reputation Damage**:
Social platforms and review sites are filled with accusations of a "dead game overrun by bots." Without swift action, Poe risks becoming synonymous with neglect—a reputation that’s hard to reverse.

**This is a Tipping Point**
The longer these tools operate unchecked, the harder recovery becomes. Scripts evolve, cheat networks entrench themselves, and trust in the developers’ ability to protect the game erodes.

**A Call to Action**
- **Prioritize Anti-Cheat Measures**: Invest in robust detection systems (e.g., behavior analysis, server-side validation).
- **Transparency**: Communicate your plans to the community. Even a brief roadmap would restore hope.
- **Swift Enforcement**: Publicize bans. Let players see cheaters face consequences.

We understand development is complex, but silence and inaction are existential threats. Many of us want to see Poe thrive, but the current trajectory is unsustainable. Please act before it’s too late.

Sincerely,
[A Concerned Player]

If the official developers need evidence of plug-ins and automatic scripts, I can re-send them to your email address. I have already sent them to you when I reported this problem before, but no one seems to pay attention to them.

The email I sent was about poe2, and it happens all over poe2
I posted in General chat yesterday that the Chinese had automated the trade market place and have 10x'ed all the prices ...

And GGG mods muted me for 6 hours immediately after posting it.
Prior to that i had only ever bene muted for 15 minutes.

They don't Give AF unfortunately bro.
Just wait to see how quickly your post will be redacted for daring to criticize GGG's far east overlords.

Definitely a good suggestion, but dont bring your hopes up. 0.1.1 is doomed. What we can hope is that your suggestion are going to be considered for the upcoming 0.2.0 launch
This explains why 450 ex is 1 div now. And how people are paying 350 divs for temporalis. Prices are going insane, there is no way an average player can farm that much.
damn you are right

350 hours before I got my first divine and my first play through i got 3 exalts through the entire game to end game.

I strongly suspect that the drop issue is to force players to buy 3rd party Currency. Im really starting to believe that these sites selling Currency are actually ten cent.

700 hours of play with about 6 total divine drops running around 150% rarity and pumping waystones with rarity delirium does nothing. The drops are literally forcing people to buy external Currency. This cant be sustained.

The game is already unplayable to people unwilling to make rmt.

And the cost of things on the market due to fixing makes this a deal breaker. Fix the way we trade or fix the cheating problem. Both can not exist at the same time.

This is not POE 2 !!!!!! This is only a POE 1 expansion.

All things you listed are prevalent in poe1 and have been addressed by the developers as

WORKING AS INTENDED.
