Despise sanctum(and POE2 trials) and its resolve/Honour mechanics. Needs long awaited improvements.
Ever since the introduction of sanctum I can never get past the dreaded resolve mechanics. Every time I try Sanctum its usually one and done, never even bothering picking up the tomes for the rest of the league.
Not every build is designed to avoid every single hit nor is every player able to dodge every attack. Sure there are relics to make this somewhat bearable but the resolve mechanics(especially early on) is so heavily detrimental to the point of minimal interest in interacting with sanctum entirely. There is something GGG could do in order to make this mechanic less forgiving. For POE1 sanctum: -When you lose all resolve you'll still be able to finish the floor but the next floor is locked out. Furthermore you forfeit any "boss specific" drops/chests/boons/fountains etc. at the end of the current floor(sanctum becomes a generic map/dungeon at this point). For Trial of Sekhemas(since the mechanics is very similar) -Upon losing all honour you'll still be able to finish the trials and gain your ascendancy. However, All chests and rewards in the final room after the boss become null and void. This suggestion for both POE1&2 is to promote a "consolation prize" so the player does feel like all their time and efforts are completely wasted. Last bumped on Feb 23, 2025, 4:34:28 PM
