Drastic/Frequent Changes Might be Necessary
As the title says, I think there should be drastic, maybe even build altering changes frequently to be able to balance and adjust the game quickly in this early access environment. I think waiting 2 to 3 months for major content releases is going to slow progress down a lot on getting this game out of early access.
In order to account for that maybe during the early access period, respecing is either free or on major changes (possibly build breaking alterations), all characters have their passive tree reset. In my mind it would make sense that early access could, and arguably, should be turbulent and a "chaotic process" where things are subject/expected to change. "Adjusting a bar to this", seeing what it does, and then "turning a dial on that". Then once the turbulent time is over, then one would expect the changes to not be as frequent/drastic but the cost for respecing also goes back to what it was. Now this might be frustrating while it is happening, but I still think this would leave the game in a better state in the long run. Last bumped on Feb 23, 2025, 1:30:18 AM

GGG is shooting PoE2 in the foot by not taking advantage of early access to build a proper foundation for game balance. |
