Game crashes and GGG punish players for it.
Poe 2 crashes often and GGG team know it. Its generally ok that game have some technical issues, but why GGG punish players when it happens? Why every time client crash during map progress, map immediately become fully unrevealed (all fog of war restored)? Why if game crash during trials, they count as failed?
Today i found copper citadel, i spent about 10 hours to reach it, take all towers around and place tablets for increased waystone drop there, i crafted ~650% increased waystone drop chance map, and at last i enter citadel, there was 704% increased waystone drop chance. When i killed boss, game immediately crashes with DX12 error "failed to create Faded Fragment texture". After i start game again and enter map, i found that boss arena is unreachable. When player first time enter copper citadel arena, it brokes bridge and close arena entrance permanently. I have only one question: WHY? Obviously this is intentional, somehow GGG team thinks that it makes game better, but i can't imagine any reason to do so except punishment for game crash, like its my fault, not GGG programmers (and ofc fog of war was totally restored on whole map btw). Citadel is completed, boss dead, full clear and boos's loot is inaccessible because GGG think its funny joke. Im poor enough in game, all currency i have now is about 3 or 4 divines, those faded fragments (which i am totally deserve to get) was important for me, it could be my best loot drop ever and i was very excited, also i was planning my first arbiter fight ever (other fragments i already have). And GGG simple rob me for no reason. Its disgusting. But maybe im not right, maybe there are reason to do so? I would like to read, how exactly impossibility to reenter boss arena in copper citadel makes poe2 better? And why arena in iron citadel (for example) always accessible and it NOT make poe2 worse in GGG team's opinion? Last bumped on Feb 22, 2025, 1:14:49 PM
