Lost account due to linking steam account

Tried to log in to play the new league only for my entire account to be missing. All characters and things I paid for are gone. Tried logging into the PoE website through steam account only for it to create a brand new account (this one I am posting from). Is there anything I can do to get my account back?

Be sure to include your Path of Exile account name (including four-digit discriminator) as well as the names of a few of your characters so that we are best able to look into things with you.
