Farming for trial keys

I have been combing the deserts for 3 days looking for lvl75 keys to either the chaos or sekhemis trials. Only 1 has dropped. I have the bio-specific chance buff unlocked in the atlas passive tree too.

This is incredibly tedious. I am lvl88 and farming lvl 10 and 11 maps gets me no experience to at least compensate for the time I am spending. Actually, worse than that, clearing lvl 10 and 11 maps is so easy and the experience bumps so minuscule that after clearing half a dozen with no issues, I start to have hope that perhaps, if nothing else, I will get a level out of all this farming. But no, the random damage spikes always make an appearance, even at these lower level maps and I die and the progress I have made is obliterated in one unannounced split second when everything decides to hit me at once. It's crazy to me that I can get effectively 1 shot on maps that are otherwise a walk in the park.

So what do I do? Keep farming futilely for items that drop on maps that bring me no progress or joy? Or give up getting my 7th and 8th ascendancy points and plough on through lvl15 maps where, at least, I get some experience?

And all this heart-break for just the opportunity to access a trial at the level I want. The trials themselves are a whole other unfun issue.

Edit: I'm playing on console and ssf. I know I could trade for keys if I opened up a premium tab but I shouldn't have to become a trader to enjoy a game. The whole whispering back and forth thing is a complete turn off for someone who just wants to enjoy the world and the story and have the chance to "complete" a character.

Use the Trading website. Level 75 keys are going for 5-15 ex's. Save you time farming lower Tier maps.
Perhaps you are right. 15 exhausts still seems like quite a lot but I guess if I was farming lvl15 maps regularly that may not be the case. To be honest, I just want to complete my character and move on. The grind, the farming, the trade game do not really appeal to me.

It doesn't seem unreasonable to me that I should be able to complete my characters arc without dipping into these endgame systems so whole heartedly. I am not asking for an easy game just one that doesn't put up so many roadblocks to the fun stuff. Because the fun stuff is a lot of fun - the talent tree, the gem system, the combat visuals and sound, the boss fights. All really great stuff showcased in the campaign and then left to slowly get buried in an end game that is truely a grind.
