Make the POE2 Race More Accessible – Add a “Race Against the Clock” Mode
TL;DR: Right now, the race event mostly benefits elite players and streamers, while the majority of the player base feels left out. To fix this, introduce a tiered “Race Against the Clock” system, so players can compete against themselves and earn rewards based on personal milestones—not just leaderboard rankings.
The Problem: Why Many Players Feel Left Out The current race structure only rewards the very top players in each class, meaning most casual and mid-level players have no real reason to participate. If you’re not a streamer, speedrunner, or full-time PoE player, the event doesn’t really offer anything for you. As a result, a large part of the player base feels excluded from the fun, and many are frustrated that resources are being spent on a competition that doesn’t engage them. The Solution: Introduce a “Race Against the Clock” Tiered System Instead of only rewarding leaderboard placements, add time-based milestones so players can compete against their own skill level. 💡 Why This Works: ✅ Everyone has a reason to participate—even if you’re not a top-tier racer. ✅ Players compete against themselves, not just the leaderboard. ✅ Encourages replayability, since players will want to improve their times. ✅ More engagement = more excitement for the event = better for everyone. This wouldn’t take anything away from elite players—but it would give casual and mid-level players a reason to care. Last bumped on Feb 20, 2025, 12:03:32 PM

Hear hear!
As it stands, all 99.99999% of us get from this "race" is the exact same thing we'd get out of simply rolling an SSF toon at any time. We don't even get a twitch drop for watching these streamer pros this event is made for. |
