hey guys great job with this game I love it, my first couple of experiences with these kind of games sucked as I played like lost ark and I think like the starwars one. but this one was way easier to get into , minor bugs here and there but that is to be expected salute for your great work.
my suggestion while it might not be popular or important to everyone it carries value to me, see even though i love the game and the mechanics and everything, being a muslim, some words used make me feel uneasy and i was hoping if you cant change them maybe add the ability for me to do so, things like God to lord or resurrect to heal. it would mean a great deal if you could add that as an option and I think its not a great feat for you guys. " An interesting topic. I can see why some people might find god or resurrection ‘uncomfortable’ but if we view them from a historical rather than current perspective maybe that eases the discomfort. Nobility has gone in terms of ownership etc but the words Lord and Baron are still used as titles, I am not a Viking but am aware they had various gods, I am not religious at all and find resurrection to be unlikely (more likely to be catalepsy, but I wasn’t there). Hi man!
I don't think it would be that easy as just an option to enable/disable such expressions/words via an "Accessibility" option. As you know, this is a SCI-FI game inspired by many Ancient Myths from different cultures / civilizations and to some extent, some ideas are part of the Ancient lore/stories. Since ancient myths/stories that come from Ancient Egypt, the Aztects for example ( ACT 3 being definatelly 100% inspired by the Aztecs and the Olmecs ) are a vital part of humanity , this would break the game's atmosphere. Hm... I think it wouldn't be difficult to change the terms you are talking about because these are just words GGG had to swap with something else (like they do with different languages).
Furthermore, adjustments based on "religion" aren't a new thing (China and Skeletons for example), BUT... I don't know how it would be possible to adjust gameplay/mechanical things. For example, "Raise Zombies/Dead" whatever is basically a resurrection kinda thing, so how would you change the skill to not be uncomfortable? |

The more a fictional RPG world caters to the real world, the less immersive of a fantasy it becomes. Hopefully they never listen to people who want to change stuff like this

It's a fictional fantasy game. Nothing in it is real. A story. If you're upset reading stuff in a story, don't read the story. Doesn't need to be changed for you. |

" You're totally right. Me asking for less XP loss on death so that I, among with hundreds of thousands of other players can have a more enjoyable time. Is totally 10000% comparable to someone asking for changes to in-game text because it makes them uncomfortable due to their religion. One is not like the other.
