Guild mode proposal
After reading, collecting and evaluating a considerable amount of feedback here, in other communities and from players of different targets, I dedicated some time to this proposal for a new mode, a league or a private league.
Any other feedback is valuable to improve this idea. I'm sorry if it is a long text but it requires to be really detailed. Requests: 1) a SSF mode but at the same time to be able to play with husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend, daughter/son, friends, guild members 2) crafting requires improvements, especially without trading 3) in SSF there should be a default “increased rarity of items founds” 4) in SSF I can't get the build defining unique I need But for the first 3 understandable requests, the 4th one really depends upon the player's approach. Some of these love to put together a custom build according to what found, some others are chasing for a build defining unique for their build (custom or from a “guide”). Goals and Guild mode: while atm we have standard and SSF (HC or SC), there is room for something more tailored around guilds and groups, that it would be great to see added in PoE2. The goal of this mode is to give a sort of Group – Guild Self Found mode with leaderboards based upon guilds. In this mode/league trade is not available, but for what in guild tabs or only up to X time from drop when in party with a guild member. Rules: - to join this league it is required to join it by the guild's leader, with at least one character, so to unlock it for every member - a guild needs to have at least one Premium Guild stash tab or a Guild quad stash tab - a guild requires to have at least two members from two different accounts Guild's points, guild's tree and leaderboards: - according to what done in game, each member provides X points to the guild - every day, week or X time, this total would be divided according to the number of members of a guild and assigned to it - the points acquired by a guild can be invested by the guild's leader or officers to unlock guild's perks – nodes in a specific guild's tree (possibly tailored around item rarity found, waystones, specific notables, etc.) - the total of these Guild's points divided by the number of members would be used for the weekly Guilds' leaderboards and the global one - there could be two Guilds' leaderboards at the same time: one based just upon guild's points, another one based upon achievements (X, Y, Z pinnacle bosses) or a mix of the two; but for first clears, later down into the league faster clears provide members doing it X points Guilds' rewards: - every week, according to its performance as guild points, a guild would receive a cache – gifts from a specific NPC + X guild's tokens - this NPC (Hooded One - Sin if not dead – gone away or another npc) offers these gifts guild wise - these items are especially unique ones or good rare ones - this NPC's inventory can be refreshed up to X times, spending a guild's token (by leader or officers) Here we have three options since it depends by the management of a guild: 1) any member can ask/bid for these - guild's leader or officers, if abilitated, assign them (this would work in really organised guilds or small ones) 2) any member can ask/bid for a specific item - random roll and then SK (suicide king) mechanic 3) any member can ask/bid for a specific item - a priority of guilds points is in place then SK mechanic Assignement of rewards: 1) the selected item will be assigned by leader or officers to a specific member 2) the member with the highest roll will be able to collect it, then he/she gets a lower priority flag for the following week/weeks until back to normal priority 3) the member with the highest guild points amongst the asking ones will get the item: the following week/weeks this member will be flagged as low priority until back to normal priority In case of low priority (2 and 3): if the same member asks again for an item in the following week/weeks or in the same one: A) if no other askers/bidders, he/she gets the item, B) otherwise he/she has to wait until his/her priority matches the other askers/bidders.
