We have a new hot game, hold on lets stop working on it

We have a new game with 500k players, man were doing great, BUT WAIT
lets stop working on our new hit game, to go back and work on our old game that the new one just ended.

Is there a business development strategist at GGG or, um.... . . . . ..

yet, another terrible company mistake.

Sigh.

1. PoE 2 did not "end" PoE1, and was not intended to "end" PoE1. The plan was always to maintain both games.

2. The Phrecia event content isn't exactly "new" -- it's stuff they'd previously worked on, and rejected, when developing other leagues over the past several years. Some of it might a ton of fun, but some of it's going to suck, and people should be prepared for lots of jank.

3. Work on PoE2 hasn't stopped. They're very much working on their new game, with an eye to a big upcoming release.

4, Their business strategy brought more people to PoE2 than have ever played PoE1, with all of them paying for their beta keys which hasn't been the case for PoE1 since closed beta. And more of those players are still playing almost three months later than has ever been the case with any PoE1 league in history.

5. Giving PoE1 players some new content to play with isn't a bad business decision, either. Let 'em have some fun.

People need to get a grip. Yes, I'd also like more updates, more frequently, but we're going to get updates again, and in the not-to-distant future. Just let 'em cook.
Stay sane, exiles!

Calm down they are undoubtedly working on a huge 0.2.0 give them time. In the meantime they are releasing patches to fix game breaking system issues and QoL updates like map stash. Jonathan has said this already
OP's main point that updates are way too slow is true. This isn't even a released game. It's an EA where we expected to test changes. We can't do that if there aren't changes to test. At this rate we will be in EA an extremely long time.
I wonder what the business development strategist would tell the company that started in their mom’s garage and sold for a couple hundred million dollars. Would love to be a fly on the wall in that meeting.

yeah calm dowm, they need to wait until a new league to release patches for their EA game so they can sell $250 supporter packs every single time

Not everything is a scam to get your money.

Take a break, walk away, go do something else for awhile.

... or, because complainers complained when their builds were nerfed. They (Devs) stated as much even. Don't let me stop you from complaining though, it's only holding up EA.

And who says they stopped working on PoE 2?
You're saying that but GGG hasn't announced anything like that.

Also Path of Exile 1 is still a game and is still loved by many players.

Many people love PoE 1 more than PoE 2.

So accept that there are two games at the moment.

If you're not satisfied with the actual content of PoE 2 stop playing it and do something else.

I think the point is that this is an EA and they have made very few changes.
