You know, you lose your map if you complete it too. Not just if you die.

The only real difference, besides the XP penalty (and you can just replace "die" with "use all 5 portals" and not focus on the semantics if you need to), is that you can path through the node now.

Your Rituals or Breaches or whatever, gone. Your +Monster Levels, gone. It still consumes your Waystone. Everything that made the map something other than a completely bare node is still gone. The only difference is the pathing.

This is kinda wack, IMO.

I think that nodes should remain influenced by their towers and keep their extra stuff, even after map completion. I would even be happy if completing a map only removed a single one of those modifiers. Like, it loses its Breaches but keeps the Corruption and Irradiation. Something to give those nodes more value than the ones you failed, other than access to a dotted line.

The only reward to completing a map being the ability to path to a different one is pretty unsubstantial. The Atlas is enormous and there is plenty of reason to travel across it in the form of Citadels. Being forced to travel across it just to do the kind of map content you want is anti-fun I think.

The only map types that should fully consume and become dead-nodes on completion (LOL) are Citadels, which you can't even complete right now anyway. So fix that too I guess, even though it is an absolute treat to not have to worry about the 25 rares before the boss right now.
