Taunt still bugged from 3.22.0, doesn't appear to apply the default '10% less damage to anyone else'
Previously, Taunt was bugged to apply 10% more damage to other targets, instead of the stated 10% less. This was addressed by patch 3.22.
" Unfortunately, it was only half fixed. Taunt currently appears to have no inherent effect on damage against other targets at all. Champion's Conqueror passive causes taunted enemies to deal 20% less damage against the player when a totem taunts, so I don't see why regular taunt's 10% less shouldn't work too. Testing setup: Brass Dome to remove extra damage from crits, Gluttony belt to remove armour and energy shield, Dissolution of the Flesh to check damage taken on life reservation. No physical damage reduction, physical damage taken as another element, or damage taken modifiers, including from sneaky sources like the pantheon. The attacker is a Timeless Hunter from the Ridge (level 46), which only has a bow default attack. A taunting totem is summoned, then the character is moved in the path of the arrows after the enemy is visibly taunted. Test 1: no taunt n=100 damage taken=14122 mean=141.22 Test 2: Decoy Totem n=103 damage taken=14565 mean=141.41 Test 3: Volcanic Fissure totem, 100% taunt chance (Ascendant-Champion) n=107 damage taken=15050 mean=140.65 Test 4: Decoy Totem, with Champion's Conqueror passive n=107 damage taken=12106 mean=113.14 (an expected value for 20% less, but still missing regular Taunt's 10% less) Original thread by Seikah was not addressed.
