Devs need to read the room...
It's only been 5 weeks since early access and PoE2 has already lost over 80% of the player base... at what point will the developers read the room and actually address the major issues that are driving players away?
It would take absolutely no effort at all to remove the 10% xp penalty that unfairly punishes people for playing higher difficulties to actually make progress, especially when there is such a heavy xp penalty for killing lower level mobs. There are way too many problems with game mechanics, bugs, and server stability to try and gate keep the experience that hard. How many more must quit before they get the hint? "Read the room" in your steam discussion post.
No game in the history of games maintains it's launch numbers. Assuredly, when the new league starts you will see player count spike back up. This is how cyclical league based games operate. High highs, and low lows. This is somewhat confounded by EA, which will shift player numbers based on how the game is balanced over time, however this is not a "doomed game" scenario. |

i agree with quack,
i might add the endgame was just added so we have something to do after campaign. otherwise we had 3 more acts and nothing to test the cool stuff on. the development will take a while and ggg shall take as much time as is needed to make worthwhile changes instead of playing the numbers game. that's the way we got here to a 2nd instalment in the first place, back when free to play was considered to be only shady monetization and most studios were deaf to players inputs / concerns. also we screamed for new poe1 content and they heard us, some are butthurt its just an event but i think its a good median between us getting fun shit ,them buying some time and planning the next months. if i take d4 as a comparison, they effectively did this 30 bucks early access for 5 times as much (70+70 if std versions, most payed more) if you consider the expansion the real release, with the fucked up cherry on top that the base game is pretty much useless now. |

" Yeah I wish they keep not reading the room. Go back to Genshin Impact, your problems will go away. Last edited by Climet#7103 on Feb 15, 2025, 12:03:11 PM

The boot licking is strong in the minority left behind... the problem is, they will keep trolling people trying to give genuine feedback until the last few stop and leave. Then the devs will listen to the same idiots that pushed PoE1 into becoming the trash heap it is now.
The one thing that never surprises me is how strongly the correlation is between people who engage in toxic gatekeeping and those who have nothing else going on in their life. It also explains why they are all instantly available on the forums to dogpile people. |

" You're not wrong with the correlation. The people that like to insult and degrade others opinions about the game, are usually people who derive some sort of ego boost from the game, and yes, usually because they have nothing else going for them. It's true in pretty much any game I've played. GGG made a huge mistake limiting itself to Reddit and these Forums for feedback in regards to Path of Exile 2. They should've had an in-game feedback function where people could share their opinions without having the trolls on the forums tell them how bad they are at the game, for not wanting to waste 5 hours of their time everytime they died due to XP loss. |

" Apparently everyone is fine with bots lowering the price of exalted orb. Let them play with bots then. That's the future anyway because nobody who values their time will play a game that doesn't. |
