Allow to bind double-tap, would help with managing skills on WASD
It would be really useful to be able to double tap Q and E for example to use perhaps not your main skill but secondary ones.
A good example is in Guild Wars (old game) where if you double tap forward, your characters starts running forward. I find it reall challenging to use more than 3 or 4 skills with WASD, every time I reach for even R and T I lose track of the WASD keys. Being able to double-tap Q and E would let me bind more skills closer to the WASD keys. Obviously input isn't perfect but my guess is in this type of game with the skills bound, it's not a big deal if you use doubl-tap and you misfire one occasionally. For example I might bind double-tap Q to Shield Charge. Last bumped on Feb 15, 2025, 8:52:08 PM

" I feel that could bring some issues, for double tap to work wouldn't instant skills have to be delayed so game can "read" the double tap?? If so, please don't. We want to inta skill on tap, mainly because is a fast paced game with dodge roll etc... I don't want to be rude, but with time and practice you'll get used to skill while using wasd. Skills on numbers only is harder to deal with and we players managed on old RPGs, after a while your muscle memory kicks in and it feels natural. I understand that it can feel frustrating at times if like.. you are moving left (A) and need to use skill Q, it first feels a bit unnatural but try using pinkie finger or one you have on a direction your not moving to. in a situation like this I just change direction for the millisecond I need to skill or roll then skill. depending the situation. I hope that helps somehow.. |

" its not hard to code conditions to be chacked conditionally (not sure how to put it beter), so game will only wait for double tap on keys that have those assigned. also its not about getting used to but simple ergonomics. Last edited by AintCare#6513 on Feb 13, 2025, 9:54:48 PM
