GGG. Please make feature that you can lock items from being deleted.

The story is, Two days ago my game and character inventory was open. I accidently bump my mouse and keyboard. Somehow this cause my Mirrored Triple Sythesised Wand to be removed from my character and place on the floor of my hideout and deleted. This is very devastating to have happen and the blame is on me. That being said why is the hideout floor death lava for items? Why not have them delete when leave the area or after a small amount of time. If the hideout has to delete items placed on the floor then why not implement a lock feature that can be switched on/ off. You can lock your inventory tabs list, why not items too. I know there is a lot of priorities for GGG but maybe they could consider this for the future. I can imagine this is probably one of many posts about this topic.
