crashing a lot on juiced maps on poe2

When I load poe2 I hear the fans go max on pc before even in a map. It crashes at least once a map. I don't lose anything but time. I have my video on vulcan and have turned the settings way down. This slightly decreased the crashes. I am SRS necro so a lot going om on the screen.

My system is a dell about 2-3 yrs old
cpu is 12th gen core I7-12700 2.1 ghz
32 ram
GPU nvidea ntx 3080

So my questions are as follows:
On poe 1 they said the game was CPU mainly and less GPU. I think POE 2 must be pushing GPU and mine is old. So I just getting a good GPU enough?

Or go ahead and get a new system. Would get alienware or custon system with liquid cooling , etc.

Or is the code so buggy that I need to give GGG 6 mos to work out the problems and play CIV 7?

I honestly wouldn't upgrade your pc IF this is the only game giving issues. It's EA and poorly optimized atm. Beastlier pcs than yours are having the same issues. At the prices GPU's are right now, upgrading from a 3080 to get no more performance would be a real kick in the _____.

PoE 2 is still heavily CPU-intensive. Overly reliant on CPU.

My cpu is pretty weak and dated

I think this may be a large part of my problem since it got way worse after latest windows update.

PoE2 uses your GPU a lot more and not only your GPU is power hungry, it's a Dell version, you might want to look at your temps and how much watts your computer is using. A 3080 will drain about 300w from the wall alone and if you don't have a 800+ watt PSU, crash will happens for sure (outside of crashes caused by Windows 11).
