Increased difficulty?
I am playing infernalist sniper skeleton. I have all capped resistances, 4,2k energyshield (8,4k with grim feast) and 899 life after reservation.
Up until a few days ago i would steamroll every content, didn't really care what was coming at me, even survived major boss hits without a sweat. I blasted through delerious T16 maps with elemental weakness and reduced ressistances and let my guys kill everything left and right. The only problem were Arbiter of Ash, i just can't dodge those fullscreen aoe's. I just die until my minions can eventually kill him fast enough before he starts his shit. And maps with buring ground, that shit is a nightmare. But in the last few days i just keep dying from random shit in rare T15 maps, on full life and energyshield. Did they ramp up the damage with a minor patch? Not complaining here, i just want to understand what is going on... I just died to the copper citadel boss, map had elemental weakness and +lightning damange. He spawned some yellow dancing lightning thing on top of me which killed me in about 1 second. Before the smart kids chime in: I know the extra lightning damage combined with weakness isn't ideal. My point is, before i didn't even care about any bad map modifiers AT ALL, including pinnacle boss fights like this one, so i am wondering what has changed? Anyone else? Monsters gain a damage bonus when enough players are logged in that they won't tell you about.
This is to kill off the weak noobs and make them log off to free up server capacity for only the elite players. Noobs have to wait their turn again or face utter destruction. It's just a creative way to maintain server capacity during peak hours. |

It almost sounds as if you are playing Path of Exile except you still deal to much damage.

copper citadel boss already does heaps of lightning dmg, so he was buffed with 2 of the best mods for his build.
And if a high-rolled lightning hit crits it can do massive damage compared to cold/fire/chaos/phys. probs just rng. |
