Vaal Lightning Strike Stopped Working

I recently corrupted my armor trying to get some better resistances and afterwards my vaal lightning strike gem stopped working. Based on chat, here's some things I have looked into:

- I have no red stat requirements listed.
- I have taken off and put back on the gear piece and tried taking out the skill gems, too.
- Taken off all the gear and relogged.
- Relogged with gear on.
- Bought a new gem and tried that.

It seems to be related to lightning strike itself possibly, but I am unsure?
