Someone who'll support GGG with $10 this year will have a more voting power than a former whale who've spent thousands. GGG has options including to abandon its most generous F2P monetizing model that was used in the industry through a decade. When it comes to leadership and future management of both games as time goes there will be changes in employees, including lead devs and company ownership.

The only way you can improve your life experience is by spending your time and money on whatever is important to you, it's that simple. We all make investments and some pay off while others not as much.

Corporate capitalism makes decision based on quarterly or annual revenue, but most whales do not understand this, especially those who're jaded now, because of X, Y or Z and believe that their protest of no longer supporting will help their exp in anyway, it won't.

Most play the game for free, because every league has been free to play. Chris Wilson played Diablo 2 and applied some of his ideas, used the skills he learned from university to manage a company and write the code with the help of some of his classmates and investors. (at least that's my guess from what I know).

Through the decade there was one Chris Wilson who designed a game I end up supporting, but I'm not jaded, angry or frustrated toward him or the tens of thousands who've failed to open my wallet after January 11th, 2011, including the super rich billionaires that haven't shown interest in designing their ideal game.

Money has been of no use to me when I haven't had a good game to experience consistently for too long now, yet I don't have enough to lead develop a game myself. The lead developer is everything in this industry.

TL:DR; you are powerless to influence big corporations. So keep spending.

not a whale by any means but I haven't financially supported GGG in a while, and I never will. sooner or later casuals will drop the game anyway.
