Why isn't inventory management consistent between PoE1 and 2?
Between waiting for console loot filters and being busy with other games, it's taken me a bit to get actually hop into EA. I've only been playing for a few days, but to me this is a glaring issue and I'm shocked it isn't getting more attention on the forum.
Inventory keybinds have all been krangled from PoE1. Having a good number of hours in PoE1, it's utterly disorienting trying to adjust to new keybinds, and worse, it's going to be disorienting again when we get a new PoE1 league and muscle memory wants to use the PoE2 buttons. For reference: PoE 1 A: Use/Equip B: Unstack X: Stash/Take/Discard X (Hold): Bulk Stash Y: Pick Up LS: Compare LS + Left: Filter LS + Right: Clear Filter PoE 2 A: Pick Up A (Hold): Unstack X: Use/Equip Y: Stash B: Close Inventory LS: Search LT + LS: Clear Search RS: Compare I might even be missing a few things, but ugh, the amount of times I've opened up the digital keyboard for search when I was trying to compare items, and on top of that, bulk stash doesn't appear to be an option anymore - maybe because this is, iirc, a fairly recent addition to PoE1? Anyway, this is by far my biggest complaint so far, but there are a few other issues I've noticed. -The opening cinematic sometimes has no sound (I had to watch it on Youtube). -You can see the min/max of each affix on an item, but not the tier (in-game, at least - you can see the tier of an affix on the trade site; side note, another odd change from PoE1 is that higher tiers are better, rather than T1 being the best - perhaps to leave room for higher tiers later?). -As far as I can tell, charms do not appear on the console UI, even though PC just got an update to show their charges (tbh I'm not sure how much this matters since I'm only in Act 2 and charms suck so far). Also this is irrelevant since it's in the new patch rolling out. Is GGG reading my mind? -Points of interest seem inconsistent. I died right after killing the rare in the Grelwood Witch Hut and lost all the loot (this is an utterly horrid mechanic, but that's beside the point), but the gem reward spawned inside the hut and the point of interest was marked as complete. I died immediately after completing the Dryadic Ritual in Hunting Grounds and lost all the loot (still terrible, still not the point) and had to reset the instance, trek all over the map, and complete it again before receiving the reward and checking it off. -Somehow a town portal from a couple zones back was still active when I logged on the next day. Shouldn't it close after 15 minutes? -PoE2 seems to have inherited the loot filter bug introduced to PoE1 a couple of patches ago - I have to reactivate it every time I log on. -PoE2 also seems to have inherited the fog of war bug. I was having network issues and restarted the game. When I took my portal back to Keth, all the checkpoints were still active, but the map was shrouded in fog of war as if it was brand new. -I don't think I've yet reached the point where my loot filter is hiding any items, but there's nowhere in-game that all keybinds are displayed (granted, most are either displayed in the relevant menu or are customized on your skill bar). Does clicking LS still show filtered items? Last bumped on Feb 4, 2025, 7:07:11 PM
