why is there no action towards people seilling currency in the game

I've reported so many people and there is no action. I understand that there is a reason for a company to think about their profits but there are people willing to support this game for the love of the game and this is ridiculous. this is my biggest problem with the game thus far. trading is broken because of this. trading feels like all the things you guys claim to be against and its not becuase of the the reasons you guys insinst. be bold just like you guys claim to be in your PR interviews. you guys say that you dont want to give poeple "free trading tabs" becuase it enables bots and real money trading but in the end what's different? you guys receive money and we still suffer the consequence? its a pathetic excuse.

Well, it looks really bad for GGG right now. But it is common practice to build up data for months and then do a big sweeping ban.

My hope is they announce a new league and simultaneously announce that they have banned 100k+ botters/RMTers coupled with fixing whatever lets them bot.

Agree but alot needs change. Currency drops are so rare that it makes the game if unplayable to alot of players due to low Currency drops. I played over 350 hour with around 100% rarity before I got my first divine drop and in that time only around 20 total exalts. I think they recently buffed it slightly but for new players to the game and the genre the current drop rates makes the game inaccessible to them. My first playthrough i arrived at end game having obtained a whopping 3 exalts through the entire campaign. Had to quit there and start again with new character.

Until drop rates and market are fixed 3rd party Currency is probably the only thing keeping half the player count in the game. Even ajust the rolls on items so that people can actually craft thier own gear good enough to engage with the later content. Maybe remove most rng and allow people to actually choose what they add on gear as Currency is so rare during campaign.

Just ban China from accessing the Western version of the game.

This, + duping + 90% of trade website scamming will be entirely eliminated.

The devs and their "vision" which is completely antithetical to fun and only caters to the PoE 1 "veterans" who want a 1 button slot machine simulator and the Chinese RMTers and scammers that swarm this game to turn a profit.

A horrible situation. I don't envy GGG's position but I also don't care because they made their own bed.
