From a new player: Kudos for focusing on POE2
I'm a new POE 2 player and couldn't get into POE 1. The complexity is one aspect, but the POE 1 community feels extremely hostile and elitist. This Zizaran-like audacity that everything has to be as they say or youre a Diablo noob is extremely off putting. I guess "they" supported the game when it was developed, but it is a 10 year old game on a 20 year old engine, it is simply naive to think this is going to be supported forever.
Yes, Poe 2 is not perfect, but that's early access for. On the other hand, it is just so obvious that POE 2 needs all the help and resources it can get to get it off the ground. It is already the more popular game though by an order of magnitude, so it is just wise financially to focus on it. In any case, I thoroughly enjoyed POE 2 and cant wait to see what else is coming. Eventually, I predict players of POE 1 will be migrated into POE 2, while the former is being deprecated. Frankly though, I can do without the POE 1 community. Last bumped on Feb 4, 2025, 9:54:22 AM

Ok.
Love the games. PoE1 way more so than PoE2, but still enjoying both.
Hate the company. The scummy, lying, fake and shitty facade, the excuses, the failures, and most of all, the "Vision". Keep both of those in mind when reading my posts. |

I see you are clearly a lovely person yourself looking at your statement.
Using Ziz as an elitist is a kinda kappa argument as he is one of the new players-focused streamer,s and nowhere near the spectrum you are talking about. On the other hand, as I said before you said that you can live without the community that was the base of the poe2 5 years EA existing in the first place. |

" It has literally the same engine. Do some research before making posts like this |

I specifically posted this as POE 2 feedback and not in the POE section, but I guess I do see how my post asks for backlash, which actually just proves my points...
Btw, when Jonathan says the rig model is from 2006, I feel I did my research ok, even tho both might be technically using the same code engine... But what do I know, right? |
