Accessing citadels
I have been chasing citadels for a few days, and thre is one thing that is driving me nuts. I actually even wonder if this inteneded, tell me if this happens to you or not. So, when I find a beam, I usually get to it. Every time though, there is only a few links to get to it. so you basiaclly start etting towards it, do several maps to get to it, and then... no, there is no path, you have to go AAAALLLLLLL the way around. This is really deinving me nuts, I feel like someone shows me carrot with a stick, and just before getting it, tells me "ah hm, actually... no, not yet". Don't get me wrong, I totally get that players should not be able to spamm citadels 20 times a day, yet I don't get why it's done this way, it's simply frustrating. So my first question is: is this happenign to you too or am I having a bug? And second question: anyone else finds this highly frusrtating? Last bumped on Feb 5, 2025, 7:03:12 AM

I dont even know how to get in that one citadel I can see in my atlas, I'm also not strong enough yet to try it but I'm also wondering... Do I have to clear it all around, sry for hijacking.

Yes, atlas connectivity is terrible. You traverse not where you want, but where you can.

" No you don't have to clear all around, but usually ( at least for me, and to be honest I am still wondering if it's intended): Citadels have a lot of ubnconnected nodes around it. So usually, if you go straight to it, then at some point there is no node to access it, and you have to search ALL AROUND it to find a path to access it. An example I arrived from the north, and ended up in a dead end. Then went all the way to try to access it from the west... same thing happened. |

I don't understand putting "blobs" of maps, with like only a single node connecting to the next "blob"...or sometimes none at all (like OP said, having to go multiple "blobs" around).
The nodes are literally close enough to just connect with a line. Make it a big endless map. It can still be partitioned into "blobs" for all I care from a backend, but why make the player experience so convoluted? |

i think citadel generate individual special chunk of a map that is bugged. I have the same issue - beside i have only 1 citadel around 500 maps and there's no path to the citadel.. it's not connected even if maps arounds are here there are no connection. There are no water or smh. just no connection to it.
