cant go to sekhmas from desert map and no quest item

Hello, I am having some trouble. I am on my 4th character and had a friend speed me through the campaign. I then went back to level so I got to the appropriate level to start mapping (Almost). At some point I decided leveling was boring and I would get my ascendancy points. so i went back to the traitor's passage to kill babala whatever her name is and she didn't drop the quest item for me. I also tried on cruel and didn't get the quest item either. I have attempted this multiple times. The desert map does not have the caravan spot to go and I can not blue swirl to any of my friends when they are there since I do not have the quest state. Anyway I was thinking that you could just give me the quest item from here and it would probably solve my issue.
