The way back is closed (Act 3)

After getting Dori on your side (thus in the End game) if i were to re-visit any of the WP marked (present), cast a TP to return to town , decide to either go to Hideout or any wp ACt 1 - 2, take WP back to Act 3 town (present)..
It takes me to the WP at the pinnacle (past the waygate)... and the gateway is closed. The Hell?  While the snow remains, veiled in the haze of evening, a cold leafless branch.
