Help With Current Build

My build is definitely off-meta, and was wondering if I could get some help to improve it. I've replicated the build in path of building, but there's still some bugs to work out with the builder or maybe user error, but here's the build: https://maxroll.gg/poe2/pob/2k28t0yo Here are my core stats: HP: 3303 Armour: 6422 (63%) Evasion: 6158 (66%) Fire resistance: 79% Cold resistance: 77% Lightning resistance: 80% Chaos resistance: 75% Main attack is molten blast (I basicly just spam that). 16,553.7 DPS I'm cruising through T15 maps, the citadel bosses take a while. Level 92 Gemling Legionaire. Here are some general questions I have: 1. Does accuracy help molten blast? I've tried with and without accuracy and didn't notice a difference. 2. Anything major I'm missing that could help with survivability? 3. Anything major I'm missing that could help with damage? 4. I found a relic that redirects physical damage to fire damage. Thoughts on stacking evasion and fire resistances (I could probably hit 82% or so fire resists as a gemling lengionaire). I've tried setting up my character so I never get 1 shot by bosses (and have been successful), and with the rest of my points I've tried to pump damage. The original concept for my character is I wanted a character that was melee and ranged, but this didn't work out. I ended up liking molten blast better then grenade or x-bow mercenary attacks for ranged, and don't like the melee mace abilities. When great axes are released I'm planning on trying a hybrid dual wield 2h axes for melee and dual wield 2h maces for my ranged attacks. from your tree you have a lot of little nodes that code be removed and use to pick up large nodes.
remove elemental focus and replace with fire penetration. (exposure reduces corresponding resistance, penetration will allow you to push deeper in to that resistance). lets look at focus over pen, say you do 100 fire damage and the enemy has 50% resistance with pen you do 80 (50%-30= 20 resistance, 100 damage reduced by 20% is 80) damage while with focus you do 125 damage this is then reduced by 50% so you do 62.5 damage. say the enemy has 100% resistance and you have 30 pen and do 100 damage that means you do 30 damage on first hit then exposure is applied this reduces max resistance by -20 for 4 seconds by default so second hit does 50 damage after reductions. also grab backup plan 40% armor and evasion when they matter. very bottom the 3 nodes for reduced requirement are they needed? couple of tweeks instead of the acrobatics from nothing you could go mind over matter and take a good bit of the ele wheel there haven't tested to see which is better. If your not using path of building start using it much better than maxroll I'm not sure so you need to check but i think your projectiles can pierce and chain on terrain if so take the nodes leading up to shrapnel and the 2 nodes on the tree i linked to get to Ricochet 30% chance for terrain chain along with 30% chance to pierce will help clear and boss damage as it can produce more hits with your large number of projectiles. if you do this you have the choice to take the 2 additional small 10% nodes above Ricochet and remove the 2 small armor and evasion nodes at backup plan further updated take points from close confines if need be, took herald reservation to get wind dancer will reduce likely hood of you being hit you can always not take those nodes and speck in to more damage for the reservation https://maxroll.gg/poe2/pob/n789l0yr or removing time in need and adding in wind dancer instead saving those nodes and going for forces of nature https://maxroll.gg/poe2/pob/v089p0y1 to further boost your defense if you can strip 2 nodes to take clear space you will be pushing the enemy back on attacks so they will be less likely to hit you and using wind dancer reduces that significantly especially if your blinding on hit as well. try using concentrated effect to see if that is better than scatter shot for bossing and for clear separately on paper conc is better but not always as projectiles and explosions depend on the over lap of the explosion and shot gunning as to what is better so even try magnified as well over scatter and conc as it has 0 down side. if you have a spare Devine look at getting a prism of belief molten strike +3 if you only have exalt go for a +2 or +1 and switch it for your ghoul solace. as you level to 95 take of the 1 strength node and above backup plan and take the 2 small evasion + armor node. if you mange to upgrade your gear and get more strength remove the 2 top star nodes for reduced requirements to allocate to pierce chance for clear or pick up more armor and ev nodes or attack speed or what ever suits you ps sorry for the massive post but hope it helps been editing this and i modified the tree. i have tried to keep the core concept of your build. https://maxroll.gg/poe2/pob/x68ce0yf - level 94 with prism and for nothing https://maxroll.gg/poe2/pob/i58tl01d - level 95 with prism and for nothing and upgrading 1 ring P.s This is all theory crafting so you will need to take that in to consideration Last edited by Drayid#1735 on Feb 4, 2025, 9:17:18 AM

Thanks, I'll give this a go and compare it to against my current build to see how it does.
Usually attack speed > all because of the malus from dual wielding molten blast, but I'll try this first and post feedback. The attribute reduction nodes might not be necessary, it depends. It's because to dual wield 2h weapons it almost triples the attribute requirements for weapons. |

Here's the final build where I landed, there's a lot I'm not happy with in the build so I think I'm going to try a new character. Some of the particulars in the build could be off, I'm just posting an update in case someone tries a similar build:
Final stats: 3324 health 80% fire resists 77% cold resists 80% lightning resists 61% armor (5809) 64% evasion (5701) Molten blast tooltip damage: 20,107.5 https://maxroll.gg/poe2/pob/gx71l05d Some notes about the build/why I'm going to try something else: - the molten blast splash damage does almost as much damage as the projectile (more if you splash with 2 projectiles), so don't take pierce - area of effect didn't seem to do much, so I went the other direction and sacrificed area of effect for damage - tree nodes that reduce attack speed and increase damage made building in the tree feel like you were fighting your own build, attack speed is REQUIRED - dual wielding 2h weapons is a bad idea imo. Tripling str requirements of 2h weapons really limits the weapons you can use, even as a gemling - boss specials can't be evaded and even with the armor and str (life) investment I could still get 1 shotted by high damage physical attacks. I think its better to go energy shield. - needing to get rarity and resists up takes up most lines in items. To get my evasion and armor up took a lot of investment, really limiting what items I could choose and making getting upgrades difficult. Even then, having high armor didn't fulfill it's purpose in stopping 1 shots. Pros: Mapping: A (only A because there are a lot of broken S tier builds) Easy of use: A (you can face tank trash) Mapping Survivability: A Negatives: Bossing: C (damage is lack lustre on 1 target compared to other builds) Bossing survivability: C (you can still get 1 shot by bosses despite the heavy armor investment, you can't evade boss specials. I've concluded armor and evasion are inferior forms of defense) Maneuverability: D (long molten blast animation locking you in place means caster builds will always be more maneuverable) Molten blast mechanics: Forced movement is bad, when you fight bosses where you have to stand in a dome molten blast can kill you Overall it's fun, but you'll run into issues when fighting citadel bosses or map bosses with hard hitting physical attacks.
