POE 2 Crash when using waypoint

Not sure if it's specific to me, but i have been consistently crashing after using a waypoint to fast travel. The loading screen freezes up my whole PC. I can move the cursor, but am unable to alt+tab, open my task manager or anything else. I would have path of building open when this first started happening, but it has also happened when the game is the only program I have running.
PC has an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, 3060 ti, and 16GB ram for anyone else that might also be having this issue. I have also tried lowering my graphical setting to the lowest possible settings, but crashes have kept happening all the same, and when i force a restart on my pc, the setting revert upon relaunching the game.
