I'm writing this from bed on my phone thanks to covid/flu so bare with me.
Look I've been supporting you guys off and on for like 10 years or something and while I appreciate path of exile 2 and definitely think it has its merits. Path of exile one is the only reason that I am here. It's clear that you promised something that you didn't know that you could deliver which that in itself is disrespectful to the people who put you on the map to begin with. Take a look in the mirror slow down the development of path exile 2 and put the resources back on the first game because that's the game I know and love. I don't like being angry at you guys because for the most part you've always delivered on what you've promised and set out to do. But I am genuinely pissed off. This is at least two archnemsises worth of fuck ups going on three. I'll take a simple league again a remix of another done already it would be better then nothing but I expect the game that I love to be back to normal soon. Course correct your shit please. I agree with you. POE2 it hot garbage and now they're sacrificing POE1 to go all-in on POE2.
I don't think I'm alone in feeling this way. If GGG continues this course, they will easily lose 100k+ pissed off players that won't stick with him. That's my opinion. I could be wrong, but I don't believe I am. It sucks for us, but there's nothing we can do. If GGG is determined to do this, all we can do is walk away. |

The idea of walking away from a game I've been enjoying for a decade is really hard. I'm not somebody who moves on from games very easily I still play starcraft 1 and Diablo 2. And the original doom. I will put it bluntly though just as they made a promise I will make one as well. They will never get a dollar from me again until a meaningful content update to the first game happens I am done trusting them with my money and giving them support on good faith it's clear that the change of management is detrimental to this project.

Yeah I myself am also torn and I've been here for about five years now, a few core packs and div cards etc.
It's very disappointing to see this happen when in my mind even if they had half of the people dedicated to PPOE 1 that they took to work on POE 2 they should have plenty of funding and support to have the proper resources. I hope this "apology video every few months" doesn't become a trend, because if it does I will have to move on and invest into another game and company, that being said I am glad we have some transparency though. Johnathan could have easily not said anything but then again our suspicions (people who have been around long enough) probably would still be validated. Right now is a very very tough time for us exiles. This will be a marker for something good, or it will become a trend and enough people will be fed up they will leave. With the increased influx of new players/Diablo refugees hopefully this makes up for the people who have walked away at this point for good. I am very disappointed, regardless of what way I look at this.
